From American Idol to Musical Theatre - to K-Pop, Film & TV and Jazz, Devyn Rush is a soulful & versatile one-stop shop, dubbed "Vocal Chameleon" by her diverse array of clients. Featured on season 10 of American Idol, Devyn Rush got her start in show business as a kid. She did her first musical theatre production when she was just 4 years old and moved to New York City directly after high school, having originated a role in the Tony Award-winning musical,
Spring Awakening, at Lincoln Center. Devyn is the recipient of the award for
Vocal Performance Of The Year at the 2022 Production Music Awards.
At 14, Devyn's parents sat her down to watch the Billie Holiday story, Lady Sings The Blues. Having previously thought that Jazz was "boring," a teen-age Devyn was reluctant to make this her Saturday night... but this movie opened up a whole new world for her, and she was soon so captivated, that she began listening to every jazz record she could get her hands on - singing, scatting, and emulating the greats that she heard. Throughout her high school years, Rush sang and played bass in her school's jazz band, earning the first awards for vocal jazz that the competitions had seen in years.
Today, Devyn Rush works as a prominent and in-demand session vocalist, songwriter, vocal arranger & contractor. She has created a career that allows her to combine all of her roots & passions. Devyn's voice has been featured on a multitude of commercials and TV shows. In 2022, her EP "Who I Am" was released through Sony Music Publishing UK, KPM, APM & Nightingale Productions. Devyn has co-written K-Pop songs for NCT Dream, AOA, Cherry Bullet & debut single, "Mystery," for sensation, Hyoyeon.
